Interviews
Some applicants are invited to interview as part of the selection process. If you are invited, you will interview at one medical school only.
Only applicants who are interviewed are eligible to receive a course offer.
About the interview
Interviews assess the personal qualities and attributes considered important for success in medical school and future clinical practice.
- Interviews are conducted by trained interviewers
- Academic results are not discussed
Interview outcomes
Your interview score is standardised and may be used by your lower-preference medical schools.
If you are not offered a place at the school where you were interviewed, your standardised score may be considered by other schools on your preference list.
Interview format and dates
Interview dates and formats (e.g. online or in-person) vary by medical school. Refer to the individual entries in the Medical Schools Admissions Guide for details.
How are applicants selected for interviews?
Applicants are selected for interview based on one or more of the following:

- Casper test results (if required)
