The GAMSAT Consortium offers an on-line application and matching system for domestic applicants to Australian graduate-entry medical schools. GEMSAS increased the number of preferences available for applicants to medical schools from three to six, and provides a more equitable and transparent allocation process. GEMSAS also manages applications for the University of Melbourne Dentistry and Optometry courses.

Further to the changes below, the Admissions guides and Addendum have been changed to reflect new GPA calculation rules for Macquarie University and to clarify subject inclusion criteria for the University of Melbourne and the University of Wollongong.
The GEMSAS schools have considered options to change GPA/WAM, recognising the impact of COVID-19 on 2020 study. Some schools have made changes to the inclusion of 2020 results in GPA/WAM calculations. See Admissions guides and Addendum for details.
